summer is upon us

It is somewhat ironic that plants and seeds are going into the ground, baby goats have arrived, warm weather is upon us and all the students have just left school for the summer.  Just to keep with the trend, I will be starting the "school farm blog" when school is out.  But have no fear, students will be showing their happy little faces around here all summer and you can follow us on our journey.

Speaking of following on a journey, I suppose we should introduce the newest members of our family...

Max, Noah, and Matilda are Nubian Goats and the three cutest members of  our four-legged farm community, by some standards, anyway.  Cute kids- the blond ones and the goat ones.  The triplets are only about three and a half weeks old, and they sure like their milk.

Students have been planting all sorts of things out in the field and in the hoop house.  They have been planting the crop beds according to end product plans.  The hoop house is full of tomatoes, peppers, onions and cilantro that will be turned into delicious salsa in the fall.

All right, lets get back to work, shall we.
